Wednesday morning marked the latest National Signing Day ceremony for STMA High School.

Seven STMA seniors signed their letters of intent to their colleges of choice, taking the next step in their education and athletic careers.

The list of students: Makenzie Langdok (University of Minnesota, soccer), Carly Jo Gamrath (MSUM, soccer), Tori Jensen (Concordia-St. Paul, soccer), Allison Erickson (UW-River Falls, soccer), Katlyn Sieffert (Lawrence University, soccer), Isaiah Nolan (Northern State University, football) and Jack Fiedler (Bethel University, football).

Six of the seven students gave their thoughts on getting through the signing day process.

“It’s a blessing to be able to sign somewhere to go play football,” Fiedler said. “All glory goes to God.”

“I’ve worked my entire life, basically, for this moment, so it’s nice to finally sign these sheets of paper and get to go and fulfill my dream of playing college football,” Nolan said.

“I’m very fortunate to grow up in a community that is so supportive of everybody here and all the athletes and students, so I’m very happy,” Erickson said.

Jensen said, “I’m so excited. I can’t wait for the next experience, the next step in this.”

“(I’m) sad that the season’s officially over and high school soccer is a thing of the past, but excited for what’s to come,” Gamrath said.

“I can’t wait to be a Gopher. It was awesome to come sign with all the girls who I grew up playing with, too,” Langdok said.
