The Knights got two goals from Ryan Copeland in a 4-1 win over Benilde-St. Margaret’s on Tuesday night.
The Knights got outshot 15-6 in the opening period, only to respond in the second with a pair of goals. Copeland (Cody Kelly, Nick Putnam) gave STMA a 1-0 lead and then Carson Wooters made it 2-0 later in the period (Mitch Bourgerie).
Peter Moran cut the lead in half (Ian Bahr, Nick Sims) in the third period, but the Knights got a pair of empty-net goals while shorthanded from Copeland (Jack Kelly, Kyle Hayden) and Cole Lehmann (Blake Spetz) to put the game away late.
The Knights hosted Monticello on Tuesday night and travel to Burnsville Saturday.
