STMA volleyball got a three-set sweep on the road against Chisago Lakes on Tuesday, but came home and fell in five sets to Cambridge-Isanti on Thursday night.
The Knights welcomed the Blue Jackets for a home match on Thursday, but struggled after building a lead.

Every set on the night seemed to come down to the wire as STMA had trouble putting the Blue Jackets away, even in the sets they won.
Set one went to the Knights, but only after a back-and-forth set in which they needed an extra point to win (26-24). In set two, the Blue Jackets wound up winning 25-23. STMA managed its largest margin of victory on the night with a 25-20 win in the third set, but dropped the fourth set 25-23.
This lead to the fifth set, and it looked good early for the Knights as they led 4-2 and 10-6, but the Blue Jackets came back and took the lead 12-10. STMA would tie the set 13-13, but the Blue Jackets got the next two points to win the match.
Knights head coach Jill Anderson had no comment after the loss.
The Knights play just one match this week, a Thursday showdown in Monticello.
