The Knights tennis team stumbled to a 1-2 record during another week of action.
STMA lost 1-6 to Hutchinson and Thief River Falls and a 4-3 win over Princeton.
In the loss to Hutchinson, the Knights got one point from its doubles team #3, Michael House and Garret Johnson (6-2, 6-4). STMA had several matches that came up just short. The other two doubles teams lost their matches in three sets.
PRINCETON
The Knights fell down early against the Princeton Tigers, but rallied for some big wins to claim victory in the match 4-3.
Jake Hinz and Owen Lindstrom took their match in three sets (4-6, 6-1, 6-1). The second doubles team of William Dierberger and Johnny Thunder (6-1, 6-1) got another win and the third team of Garret Johnson and Michael House (4-6, 6-1, 6-3) also won.
Jimmy Li came back in his match to claim a win and score an overall win for the Knights in the match.
THIEF RIVER FALLS
The Knights lost 1-6 to Thief River Falls to close out the week. Jimmy Li scored the lone STMA victory (6-4, 6-3).
STMA played Minneapolis Washburn on Monday, St. Francis on Tuesday and Rogers on Wednesday. The Knights play Big Lake on Thursday.
