The conversation continued about a new ice arena for the district at the St. Michael-Albertville School Board meeting on Monday, Nov. 16, with board members agreeing this is something that is needed.
“We definitely need that sheet of ice. They’ve asked for it for 10 years, and we need to stop talking and start acting,” Clerk Carol Stefens said.
The question is where this funding will come from – a tax abatement levy with the cities St. Michael and Albertville contributing or voter-approved referendum.
More information from the meeting will be in Thursday’s paper and on the web at a later date.
