Thanksgiving did not mean a light schedule for the River Hawks in 2015. North Wright County played three games, losing to River Lakes 4-1 on Tuesday, beating Holy Angels 2-0 on Black Friday and losing to Benilde-St. Margaret’s 6-1.
River Lakes got out to a 3-0 lead against the River Hawks after two periods. Sierra Flint had a hat trick for the Stars. She scored her first goal unassisted in the first period. Carlie Mies (Abby Bolle) extended the lead in the second period and Flint notched her second (Kya Binsfeld).
Lindsay Finnerty tallied the lone goal for North Wright County in the third, only for Flint to restore the three goal lead with her third as River Lakes went on to the 4-1 victory.

The River Hawks bounced back after Thanksgiving with a Black Friday afternoon 2-0 victory over Holy Angels in Richfield.
McKayla Peterson put one in the net in the first period (Greta Stanton, Rachel Lenz) and Lexy Fuerstenburg scored the other in the second period. The River Hawks held the shutout in the third period.

BSM
Sydney Simone scored two goals as Benilde-St. Margaret’s rolled to a 6-1 victory over the River Hawks.
Simone scored the game’s first goal in the first period (Crystal Sorem, Grace Peluso). Maria Decesare (Simone, Sorem) gave the Spartans a 2-0 lead in the second period, only for Molly Young to answer on the power play for the River Hawks (Greta Stanton).
Unfortunately for North Wright County, everything came unraveled in the third period.
